Storage MethodologyUnlimited Mailbox supports Single Instance and De-duplication mail file storage methodologies. Legal opinions vary on how data should be stored, so we provide alternative approaches and permit the customer to select the variation that is most suitable to their business requirements. Specifically, the following three storage methodologies are available:

Unlimited Mailbox is, by design, compatible with all major industry hardware vendors. This frees the client to select the hardware infrastructure that is best suited to other aspects of their operating environment. Software RequirementsOperating System Software – Unlimited Mailbox is compatible with all major industry operating system platforms (Windows NT 4.0 or higher – up to and including 2008, Solaris, Linux/Unix, AIX, HP-UX, or AS/400). Web Application Server Software options include IIS, Apache Tomcat*, WebSphere, or WebLogic. Database options include RDMS such as MySQL*, DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server. *The Unlimited Mailbox archiving solution is shipped with open source software (no licensing costs) Apache Tomcat (application server) and MySQL (database) which, along with Unlimited Mailbox (archiving), reside on a separate backend server. |
